Past Student Protests at the University of Michigan

An illustration depicting 4 groups of students from different student protest movements throughout time against a background of newspaper articles discussing the protests.

During a year of continued campus protests, The Michigan Daily’s Campus Life beat went back through past protest movements at the University to provide a non-exhaustive timeline of ways the University’s campus has been shaped by these movements.

Managing News Editor Astrid Code coordinated this project and can be reached at astridc@umich.edu.
